It is our belief at First Baptist Church of Olathe that staying in the Word of God will enrich and strengthen ones life. Therefore we offer a wide range of Bible studies to reinforce the teachings of Christ as well as how we apply them to our world today. These classes are offered to a variety of people depending upon their needs and their current walk with Christ. See below for a list of classes and times.

Adult Studies
Alpha Class - The Book of Luke
The Alpha Class, taught by Bert Doll in the Parlor, is composed of adults from
age 50 up. Bert's theory on teaching is that the more his students know,
the more they understand the Bible. Therefore, Bert researches extensively
and encourages members of the class, who represent many disciplines
and area of life, to contribute their wealth of knowledge.
Challengers Class - The Judson Journeys
The Challengers Class, taught by Merlin Ring in the right side of the expanding
room, has an active roster of 19 members. A few of those members have been
a part of the class throughout its 40 year history. New members are welcome
at any stage of their spiritual journey. They keep the thinking lively and interesting.
Merlin does not employ a lecture format, he tries to be a facilitator. All ask
questions, listen, and actively participate in class discussion. They are an open
minded and accepting group. The class has a long tradition of social gatherings
(going to dinners, movies, playing games). The Challengers will "challenge" you
to think about what you believe.
BASIC (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) Class - Romans
The BASIC Class, taught by Paul and Morna Wood in the Quilters' Room, consists
of single adults or those who attend FBC without their spouse.
Journey Class - Serendipity Bible
The Journey class, taught by Shawn Edwards in the second office, is made up
of young adults.
Stepping Stones Class - Mere Christianity
The Stepping Stones Class is taught by Charles White in the left side of the
expanding room.
Sunshine Class - The Gospel of John
The Sunshine class is taught by Ray Goff in the Library.
